Time: Line up time 11:00 a.m. in Homestead at the empty field behind 1125 SW 4th St. east to 6th Ave., south on 6th Ave., east on Davis Pkwy, ending on Davis Pkwy & Krome Ave. Florida City, Florida.

Thursday, January 12, 2012 7:00pm - The 2012 MLK Oratorical Contest. The contest is open to all senior high school students in Miami-Dade County, and will be held in the South Dade Senior High School Auditorium,
located at 28401 SW 167th Ave. in Homestead.

Friday, January 13, 2012 6:30pm - MLK Movie Night at the Park. The movie (tbd) will be shown on Roby George Park, 201 SW 11th Ave. Homestead. The movie will be one rated pg, and especially meant to be viewed by kids aged 4 - 12, who must be accompanied by a parent.

Saturday, January 14, 2012 12 Noon - The 2012 MLK Parade is open to the public and can be viewed along SW 4th St., starting from SW 11th Ave. in Homestead. From there, the parade will march east to 6th Ave., where it will turn south and head to Loren Roberts Park, 627 NW 6th Ave. Florida City.

Saturday/Sunday, January 14-15, 2012 - The 2012 MLK Festival is open to the public, and will be held at Loren Roberts Park, 627 NW 6th Ave. Florida City. The 2 day event will feature live music, games and rides, and soul food. On Sunday, January 15, 2012, the festival will began at 4:00pm, and will feature gospel music.
